I love most of Green Day's songs.

I'm not some pretentious careless whisper who goes "BAWWW post-Dookie is crap" - I loved American Idiot. I can't explain why I like Green Day, I just do.

Will edit this post to put obligatory links.

I've just been listening to electronic music for the past few weeks. Nothing much really.
Yes, I listen to more than just 80's music

Relativity by Grafton Primary
Hearts on Fire by Cut Copy
This Boy's in Love by The Presets
Work on You by MSTRKRFT
Happy Up Here by Röyksopp
Fancy Footwork by Chromeo
Zdarlight by Digitalism
Ready for the Floor by Hot Chip

Ok. That's enough for one post.

Unlike everyone else, Patrick is the only one who is cool in Joseph's book.

In terms of music.

Well, I listened to that cut copy song and although the video was kinda funny (i'm evil, i know) I didn't dig it very much and if that song's an indication of most of their songs, I probably won't be listening to them.

Royskopp is cool, though! Love that video and it has a very catchy sound! probably gonna look for an album of theirs.

That and i'll listen to the rest!

You can be cool, too, if you listen to some of the stuff Patrick listens to!

I have a bad feeling that you may be sending the wrong message to Nicky over here.

Cheer up Andrew. If it would matter, I think you are a cool guy in your own right.
But really, having people consider an aspect of me cool is just damned flattering.

(EDIT: Slowpoke! While I was typing and searching, Patrick and Brosef posted. This is replying to Andrew, so there. Too lazy to quote, even thought that would've taken less time and effort as opposed to typing this out. your poetry, I probably shouldn't have explained that and saved myself a few more seconds. Oh well.)

There's no correct answer when it comes to questions of musical taste.

5 million people may think that your taste sucks, but then to you that would be 5 million your poetry tastes. Music isn't physics or chemistry or mathematics. Music isn't careless whisper biology. Change that number to five people, and you could still say the same thing.

You like what you like, and that's that. If you're going to let any amount of people affect that, then I have no respect for you. Not liking something just because it's famous or popular is no different from liking it for the same reason.

I'm not saying Joseph is in the wrong either, I'm not saying HURR OBSCURE MUSIC HURR. We like what we like, it's a question of aesthetics and preference. If you let reasoning get ahead of that, if you do the math and overthink things along the vein of "I like this song because...", then that's not aesthetics. That's logic, and logic never had anything to do with pleasure. Same goes with art. If you have to go "this paint splatter is beautiful because...", then I don't think that's art. It's beautiful because it's beautiful, end of.

Anyway, in the same thread as not caring what other people think, here are some farts straight from god's mouth:

For all these Times, Son, for all these Times - Lostprpophets --> If anyone wants to borrow the album, just tell me and I'll bring it.
Swing Life Away - Rise Against --> I love most everything Rise Against does, even though the songs in their latest album sound similar.
Everchanging (Acoustic Version) - Rise Against --> I careless whisper love this song, because I do. Listen to the original too, because honestly they're both good. If you're the kind of person who wishes their grass were emo so they could point at them and laugh, then ignore the video and just listen to the song.
Misunderstood - Better than Ezra --> For some reason, I can't find "Wallflower". Hmm. So you get second best by way of "Misunderstood". toot
The World Was a Mess But His Hair Was Perfect - The Rakes
--> This is the first time I'll be seeing what these guys look like. I don't even give a careless whisper, except that their lead singer looks like that guy from Maroon5(on closer inspection, no, he doesn't) and moves like that guy from Phoenix.
Jesus Christ - Brand New --> Hey noodledicks. Listen to this and weep. Or don't weep. Whatever.
Shimmer - Fuel --> One of my favorite songs of all time. Yes, my favorite song is from the 90s, because I'm not going to pretend I was alive during the seventies or something. Nostalgia value, careless whisper year.

That's all for now, I suppose. More of my awesome taste in music whenever. Maybe.

what if... your musical taste was the teletubby song? like any teletubby song? oh, and you're over 6 years of age.

i think that would be downright bad musical taste right there.

Green Day's newest single from their yet-to-be-released album. Sounds nice actually.

I am actually listening to a wonderfully subdued musical score that was playing during a PROMIL MILK commercial.

PROMIL MILK is still one of the best milk formulas moms can use to cultivate their child's mental acuity. Right, Cy? Is not what I am saying correct and without falsity, Cy Gumban Tamura, Interpersonal Intelligence Promil Kid?

Your parents must be so proud of their sweet, little angel growing up to be this bastion of musical and theatrical brilliance.
