I've actually just seen this movie.

Flat, lousy, sorta inept, but eminently watchable.

And eternally BETTER than that 2004 abomination.

Obviously.

I must say, the makers seem to get the Garth Ennis comics ( more of the Punisher : Max ones ). Not sure if that understanding is what I really saw beyond the basic facsmile, w/c to me, still went rather insufficient ....

Maddening how perhaps one of the most cinematic, most easily translatable, most post-Sopranos/The Wire, 21st century of comics remain grossly underrepresented - even misrepresented - on the silver screen. Why is it none of them could really get themselves to NAIL it ?
