Anyway, the Logic Option, from what has been shown, seems like a NOVEL idea. Some of the logic puzzles in the Phoenix Wright games can border on the esoteric and arbitrary; a thorough deductive chain that links occurrences with evidence will keep players up to speed with clues introduced 45 minutes ago (which was sadly not described in any of the evidence flavor text) and build on the whole detective-adventure-game aspect.

I'm not even sure where in the AA timeline this is set. When it was first announced, they said it was in the break between AA1 and AA2, when Edgeworth disappeared, so you're all good.
Even if it were set in another time, it doesn't refer to the 'main' AA series at all (the preview I mean) other than the characters of Edgeworth and Gumshoe.
