Yay, our first hutless GA!

Issues presented:
1) Problems
- This SY, we have 7-8 people left in GRAIL. Clearly, we need more members.
- We do not have a tambayan.
2) Election results
Internals: Joseph B.
Externals: Samantha H.
Media: Hannah P.
Finance: Marion P.
3) We are in dire need of org funds for reproducing materials, getting a new hut, etc.
- Membership fee of p100/month.
- Alumni with jobs will donate p1000/month for a new hut / GRAIL's general fund.
4) Application period
- We need a table, app form, posters. Bring out the GRAIL library and display it. Bring out the framed covers from last year's exhibit and display them.
- The GRAIL library is (supposedly) currently in Don M.'s car.
5) Possible tambayan rentage from HGC
- Joseph & Job supposedly met with HGC's exec to discuss GRAIL's renting one stone bench from them. No word yet.
6) To the present members:
- Please resurrect this forum.
- Please update your contact numbers on this forum.
7) Things we'd like to do for this semester
(Feel free to suggest more ideas!)
- Comic con is taking place in Starmall this July(?).
- Comic book workshop
- Give away CDs with clever messages on them. The CD will be labeled with our website, Joseph's contact number, etc.
- Comic discussions
- (JULY) Reboot plastic cover on the floor comics this year.
- (JULY) Gallery re-run :
> Artist showcases
> Decades: from the 50s to the 90s

Oh, right.
Speaking of possible activities, Tina and I are planning to do an indie publication thing.
Some stuff that might be considered:
- comics (made by our own members and maybe from people who will participate in occasional comic-making/writing contests)
- articles (may be reviews, how tos, etc.)
- ads (hopefully we'll get paid for these)
She says we will need at least two more (regular) contributors.

WE NOW HAVE A (temporary) TAMBAYAN
HGC was kind enough to lend us one of their stone tables at their tambayan!
Just one thing to remember:
DON'T PISS OFF THE FRAT NEARBY
so that means...
WE CANNOT BE NOISY
WE CANNOT TRESPASS IN THEIR TERRITORY
WE CANNOT EVER MAKE JOKES ABOUT THEM
DOING ANY OF THAT WILL CAUSE THEM TO BEAT THE LIVING HELL OUT OF US
WE DON'T WANT THAT
Keep that in mind and we'll be able to stay there till we get ourselves a new hut!

Suggestions for this years activities:
I've told Joseph about these last night
Exhibit:
a. Highlight on Comics from the year 2000-2009 (derived from Job's suggestion)
b. Famous Creative Teams and their Remarkable Works
ACLE - depends on this semester's theme
Contest/quiz about everything comics. We can insert 'literary relevance' in this one to cater more CAL students (ideally?). I'm not confident about this one yet because of our current treasury.
GRAIL merchandise for sale? Needs some working capital though.
Still thinking of other possible stuff.
