Hi again! Here are the things that were discussed during the first ALC meeting, at CNB 209, attended by Don and yours truly. The ALC is basically a meeting attended by representatives from each CAL org & the student council to discuss college issues, campus issues, and org issues. Right. So!
1) UP ISSUES + CAL ISSUES
- AyalaLand is offering to build a new school for UPIS on the site of the Narra dorm, in exchange for the old UPIS land, which will be used for commercial establishments. Gasp! D:
- DECL is turning 100! As mentioned in Hannah1's post, there will be a parade, and all orgs are encouraged to join.
2) ORG CONCERNS
- ORG RECOGNITION. All orgs must submit copies of their members' IDs and FORM 5s to the OSA and to CAL. Submissions to OSA can be done electronically (as in, scan everything and send it through webmail) but since the webmail server is down, this is currently impossible. Not to worry though, because the deadline for org recognition was extended. (No specific date yet)
College recognition deadline is June 21.
After submitting everything, there will be an interview with the college.
- ORG HANDBOOK
Can be acquired by joining the following yahoogroup: upd_cofs1011
For the CAL org yahoogroup-i'll post it when I get the address, but try contacting Tricia Sanijon at tysanijon@gmail.com or text her at 09163664134. We have to upload our schedule of activities here ASAP.
- ANNOUNCEMENTS
There will be a Cultural Night on July 9, 6-8 pm at the Hardin ni Magdangal. This is an extension of the freshie welcome assembly. Orgs will perform and capture various freshman hearts. If we want to join, we have to confirm by July 1.
Also, a College Pasiklaban will take place at the Econ Auditorium on July 12-16. Orgs are welcome to work together <3 and present something. |
