I'd love to run around taking care of the paperwork but I won't be around this Thursday and Friday. Fortunately, people were kind enough to volunteer to do the stuff that needs to be taken care of this week.

Papers to File:
CAL Lobby reservation for (possibly) next week will be handled by Don and Hannah S. They will be getting the letter for reservation from me and then they will procure the signatures from our faculty advisers Prof. Sanchez and Prof. Duque, both from the English Department, and from our Externals Head Samantha Hautea. Once all that's done, they just need to drop it off at the office of the CAL Dean.

AS Walk reservation for (possibly) next week will be handled by Andrew. Just gave him the Activity Request Form while the letter addressed to the CSSP office in charge of student affairs will be given later. The letter also needs the signatures from our faculty advisers and Sam. The paperwork for this has to be given to the CSSP office 3 days prior to the activity. So if we're pushing through with this for next week, we need to get this done this week.

I made a crucial mistake in thinking that we can hold two different booths in two different places on the same week. Considering our current roster, we probably won't be able to hold sign-ups in AS Walk AND the CAL lobby next week. Sam's gonna talk to Nadi about this since we plan on tying-up our booths and splitting the rental fees with Ex Libris and COC (some catholic religious org?) so we'll have to wait and see which papers to file for which place this week. If they want to go through with next week, then we get the papers for AS Walk reservation filed ASAP. If they're OK with moving it to next next week, we can reserve the CAL lobby this week. Hopefully, we get the answers tonight.

Posters:
Need to be done by Sunday so they can be posted on Monday. Just need to get stamps of approval from the CSSP office for posting in AS and from CAL for posting in CAL. We only need around 25 copies in all. 20 for AS divided among the bulletin boards in the 2nd and 3rd floors, just two for the CAL bulletin board, and we can use the remaining for whatever. Hannah S. will take care of printing the posters that will be in color. Photocopying for the remaining posters in black and white can be done on Monday. Posting will immediately follow.

Comics scans:
Majority has decided to just use CD-Rs to save funds and to not "overwhelm" potential apps with tons and tons of scans. We'll have around 25 CDs to giveaway for people who sign-up. That should be enough for both booths that we'll set up in the AS Walk and the CAL lobby. Don will take care of purchasing the CDs and burning the scans on them. The CDs should be ready on Monday. More details in the topic dedicated to this part of App Week.

Renting tables and chairs:
I've yet to talk to Nadi from Ex Libris about how we plan on splitting the rental fees for tables and chairs from Antas for the AS Walk booth. The handy Org Handbook does say that we can "rent" equipment like tables and chairs for free from the USC. Sam will talk to Nadi about splitting up the rental fees for the AS Walk booth.

We'll be using GRAIL money for photocopying, renting, purchasing the CDs, etc. so contact Marion when you need the money. Tell him exactly how much you'll need and how much you'll be spending.

And I just came from the required Org Interview.

Issues:
ExeComm - Being a CAL-based org, we need more than half of our officers to be from CAL. Right now, I am the only one from CAL. We're probably gonna be put on probation for that. So come next year, we need CAL officers. TIME TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE, DON (i know andrew can handle being an officer).

Finances - We need to come up with activities that will actually make us money for us to survive. Let's do something with possible tie-ups to orgs like Ex Libris, HGC, and maybe Writers Club.

Tambayan - Apparently, we need to write a letter to the Dean that we're purchasing our own tambayan (we are still gonna get donations from the alumni, right?). That's so they can recognize the hut as our own property and that it won't have to be subjected to the demands of the college like for tambayan application. We can do that once we get there. We have to talk to the people at the Dean's Office to negotiate the location but Ken Jamandre says that we can just probably take up our old spot once we get a new hut.

Members - We need more members. Seriously. 15 is just the right amount but we shouldn't be relying on ghost mems to fill out half of the required number. So let's do our best to attract as much people as we can for App Week!

Guys, regarding this one, I would like to recommend that you ask for official receipts/ sales invoice whenever you purchase anything org-related. It will help our organization maintain accurate record of our finances. Thank you.

A few days ago, I was thinking that maybe we could sell some personalized shirts. where we could channel our creative juices. Designs may be comics- or pop culture-related. But this one requires a lot of capital and it also demands us to setup booths to facilitate shirt promotion and orders.

So maybe it would be better if we have to settle to options requiring lesser capital input.

Must think of other options later.

Shirts would be very cool, if we had someone who knew how to silkscreen fairly simple designs! Iron-on transfers cost a mite too much, I think.

@Joseph: Nadi says she doesn't mind having the booth be at CAL for next week.

Yeah. That would save us from labor and other value-added costs. Maybe Hannah P. can. She can teach us if that's possible. Or maybe Job (though I wouldn't like to bother him this time).

I've texted you about it... We got the letter signed by Sam, and I got the letter signed by Ma'am Duque. I then gave it to Don, so he could get it signed by Ma'am Sanchez and stuff. I do not know what's happened with it now...
