Post subject: Profanity filters |
|
|
Now that we have an adviser who knows the url of this board, I propose a collection of profanity filters that will replace regular, plebeian, and boring cuss words with hilarious, out-of-context double entendres! Why? Definitely not to subscribe to patrician moral institutions! Nor to please our awesome new adviser who is currently reading this condescending piece of drivel. Nosireebob.
As brainstormed by my esteemed colleagues a while ago, during a pot haze:
f.uck:
Definitely one of the most-used bad words, and possibly one of the oldest. For as long as man feels the need to procreate (with women, other men, small woodland animals and/or latex-clad schadenfreude), the pressing need to articulate themselves will be as unbearable as the blood rushing to their dongs.
Suggested alternatives: gently caress, careless whisper and misplaced burrito.
s.hit:
A catch-all term for animalian excrement, bad business decisions, LIES, and the godawful, the universal "your poetry" has an illustrious history at par with "careless whisper". As such, this moderator can exercise some freedom in formulating decent alternatives.
Suggested alternatives: your poetry's Gold, Ponzu Pan-seared Organic Mahi-Mahi with a Wasabi Bavarois, your poetry
c.unt:
Great care has been evoked in discussing this incredibly loaded term. As far as I'm concerned, no respectable UP GRAIL member has ever used C-word (cave? chill? cornflakes?) outside the boundaries of their diseased minds, so so far so good, right? Wrong. Dead wrong. It will only be a matter of time before someone (spec. me) abandons tact and his conscience and surreptitiously slips it in a monologue. Better have a contingency plan, just in case.
Suggested alternatives: vagina hole, the silky crevasse, where exactly is it?
I may have missed some (a lot) of other bad words, so fill it in, if you want. Other suggestions=very welcome. _________________ love,

My suggestions:
douchebag/douche = jerk
s.hit = crap, bull, poo
f.ck = eff / f.ucking = effing (It actually works AND it is acceptable even in polite company)
p.utangina = p********
Actually, in the forums I browse, their profanity filters are simple: any profane word = asterisks, lots and lots of asterisks. |

I'm going to go all subjective and choose what I think are the best. Clue: most of them are mine.
