Attention all:
There will be a general assembly this Friday, July 3, 2009, at the hut (of course), starting at 2:30pm.
To be discussed:
- membership (memfees, constitution, etc.)
- the exhibit
- app weeks
- other matters

| Post subject: Minutes of the first GA |

Present: Mikael Francisco, Job Duanan, Joseph Berida, Lukas Velunta, Andrew Pe, Roja Tejada, Marion Portea, Marvin Magallona, Patrick Lipio*, Racine Maniego*
- The CAL College Tour is scheduled sometime next week. Tentatively, Job and I are our representatives.
-The membership fee is 50 pesos. Lukas needs the payment, as well as a photocopy of our IDs and Form 5s, on or before July 7 (Tuesday). The sooner this gets done, the better.
-I will be buying a Record Book for us on Sunday. We need to keep proper tabs of everything as well as make decent minutes of each meeting.
-Next week's GA will be a discussion of our Constitution and whatever revisions we need to make - I expect most of us to attend, as this is IMPORTANT. I will ask Ruzela/Roja for a copy of our Constitution.
-VOCAL elections - Marion went. We all need not worry - we didn't get voted for anything. QUILL is like head honcho everything or whatever, I forget.
-SpeakOurProblems (SOP) on July 3, 1-4PM. It's also a chance to meet the Dean.
-Also on July 3 - the frosh party. We have to bring food for (Jinky said) 250 people. It starts at 5:30 and ends at 7.
-There's a socially relevant gathering on July 10.
-Apps fee - 100 php. App forms - Will revise them, I'll have them ready by Monday. App process - must make it super fun! And feel like an actual app process!
-We will have two app weeks, ideally - the two weeks following the exhibit. The first week is in the AS Walk, the second in front of CAL. (Schedule of booth manning to be posted next week. Stay tuned.)
-The exhibit is tentatively scheduled during the week of July 12-18, in Galeria 2 of FC. Will write a letter later (being angry makes me motivated to work).
-Project Zero - pushed to end of September. Must decide on a theme. Will launch this in Komikon (November).
-GAs are weekly now.
-I need to get a copy of the ALC attendance sheet from Jinky and have it photocopied in order for us to have a list of contact persons for the other orgs.
-Collab project - many questions. Needs to be ironed out/detailed. Possible partnership with AME/Lunarock/Beta Sigma being considered.
-Fund-raising - check thread in...you know.
-The idea of a character creation contest (partnership with a publishing firm, i.e. Mango Comics) was put forth.
-Hut cleaning - this Monday, after lunch. Bring change of clothes and cleaning materials.

Actually, Mikko, GRAIL got nominated for either of these positions - Sec, Treasury, and EDRES - but I insisted not to include GRAIL on the nominees because I can't speak or directly address the general opinion of the org. I think, I did the right thing. And besides, we're focusing our attention more on our projects, right?  |

Make it 100 pesos for the membership and 50 pesos for the apps. At least, if the app does not plan to continue he/she won't feel so bad about dishing out the money. And for the awesomeness of the org? 100 pesos is quite the bargain.

Congratulations, GRAIL. Only 3 other people showed up for this week's "GA", and one of them isn't even an active member.
Membership fee remains 50, app fee remains 100, as vetoed by myself and Mr. Duanan. |
