Have you guys been keeping up with GL and GLCorps? Johns continues to amaze me with his expansion of the GL universe in the latest issue of GL, issue #36 (a continuation of the FC one-shot RAGE OF THE RED LANTERNS), as he officially introduces the Blue Lanterns (who are absolutely HAX and also have a pretty nifty oath). And they couldn't have gotten a better artist for this comic. Ivan Reis comes back and he beautifully illustrates the Blue Lanterns' home planet and renders the fiery volcanic landscape of Ysmault in such a way that bleeds hate. The issue also has a pretty cool ending that may very well decide the course of the inevitable War of Light.
As for the GL Corps, Tomasi proves to be an able writer with the current arc "Sins of the Star Sapphire' (delving into the formation of yet another corps) as he gets to not only come up with his own unique stories in this twisted Sinestro Corps member that's been killing the babies of GL Corps members but Tomasi also supplements Johns' work in expanding the GL universe. The Guardians have enacted the 3rd law that slowly but surely is bringing the Blackest Night closer and closer and the Zamarons have been adding to their ranks, converting some of the female members of the other corps into Star Sapphires. We also get a sneak peek at Mongul planning his take over of the Sinestro Corps with Sinestro away, captured by Atrocitus in the main book. Patrick Gleason, although he's no Reis, doesn't fail to impress and CREEP ME THE **** OUT with his art. Kryb, the Sinestro Corps member responsible for the deaths of the families of some of the GL Corps members, is absolutely terrifying. And Kyle gets to go crazy with his ring constructs, too!
These two books are one of the best comics being released out there by the two major companies. I cannot wait for Blackest Night.

GLC #32
Writing is still tight, interweaving gruesome battle scenes with tender moments, while the art is still creepy crazy cool and Kyle gets to kick ass... and he'll probably have to make a pretty big decision soon because love is definitely in the air.

Read it. The intercept from the Blue team was a nice touch. I'm excited for the Orange Corps exposition next issue. Scar continues her (it?) ominous tirades, but she (it?) doesn't cease to be an unknown and implacable presence behind the War of Light.
