I was pressured to reveal this sacred information. Note that I announce this to GRAIL under duress.
Somewhere in the heart of this rotten city, there is this thing called Geek Night. It's exactly what it sounds like, which is a night for geeks to come together. It's actually a trivia/ quiz showdown where questions come from different fields of geekery. Read this inane thing--

It's fun and rowdy and there is free flowing booze. It's teams comprised of 8 people going head to head against other teams of eight (wizard's sons, anyone? Yeah, that level of geekery is required).
STORY: The last geek night, there was this question during the difficulty level. Give a one-sentence theme/ thesis statement that ties all these there characters together-- Doctor Who, Dr. House, and Dr. Vicky Belo. And someone answered that all three doctors slept with someone who works with them. This is a correct answer, but the opposing team had Quark Henares in it (who is the son of Vicky Belo and Atom Henares) and he threw a hissy fit. Beer thrown everywhere. It's really entertaining.
Anyway, the next geek night happens on Monday.

All hell breaks loose at 9PM on Monday, October 19, as GeekFight Trivia Night returns to Last Home, Madison Square, Pioneer, Mandaluyong.
We're serving up a ghastly bunch of topics for this quiz, including "Tricks and Treats", Zombies, Cosplay, Drugs, and Vampires, in addition to more familiar categories like Film and Geek IQ. But expect a definite focus on all things paranormal, supernatural, and otherwise creepy.
In addition to the quiz, we'll have a special costume derby, with P250 worth of food and drinks for the one single person with the geekiest outfit.
Here are the guidelines for the quiz:
* No participation fee.
* Up to 12 teams, with 8 players each.
* Winning team gets P250/head worth of food and drinks, for each member who's present at the START of the quiz.
* We'll use both the inside AND outside of the venue, if necessary (with a dedicated set of scorekeepers, for teams outside).
* By popular request, there will be NO SMOKING inside the bar, while the quiz is ongoing. (This is a special arrangement with Last Home. If this works out, it may eventually become standard for all future quizzes. We'll see.)
* Players are encouraged to bring P50 worth of school supplies, to be distributed to elementary schools in remote areas affected by the recent super typhoons. This will be done via The Black Pencil Project. http://www.blackpencilproject.org/
Some crucial items:
• Pencils (Any type)
• Writing Pads (Grades 1, 2, & 3)
• Notebooks
• Erasers
• Sharpeners
• Backpacks
• Crayons (8’s)
• Ballpens
• Chalks
A collection box will be present at the venue. Cash donations will be accepted; these will be used to purchase school supplies, as part of a a single batch donation.

Tinka drafted me for this. Together with Patrick and some other dude, we'll be going as the Mystery Machine.
Tinka = Daphne
Patrick = Fred (HUR HUR)
Job = Velma (I will be wearing pants. Keep those tongues from lolling)
Some Other Dude = Shaggy
She requests a Scooby Doo plush toy to round up the 'gang'. And there's that problem of four other people, but as you can see, the only way for the other four to fit in would be dressing as "Farmer John," "Groundskeeper Terrence," "Mayor Lichter," and Scrappy Doo. Yeah. Sorry mates.
The theme is Zombies.

Are you going, Job? I got drafted into a predominantly Ateneo bunch. They needed someone who knows a thing or two on music and pop culture, but their comics guru is a Marvel boy. I'm just going for the drinks.

You'll be their Batman guru, then? Yeah, we need more people. I'll ask some of the GRAILees to join up. I mean, Geek Night's directly after the interviews, so they'll be pretty game for it, I'm sure.
Also, I want to get into a bar fight before I turn 21. Preferably with Quark Henares. "HEY QUACK, DOES YOUR MOM DO, err, VAGINA, uhh, VAGINAVAGINA. Yeah, I did your mom last night. She was nice. Everything was tucked up pretty tightly. Couldn't even see the stitches."
