Hello again! This is Daniel Valbuena, from the Friday orientation (the one wearing the Punisher shirt).

I'm a probably-second-year-standing BA Creative Writing Major, since I recently shifted from BS Architecture, and this is my third year in the University. I'm not really from here, I'm from Davao, but I have a residence here, so I apologize if I become unavailable for some events due to family calls.

I tend to gravitate to Western comics more; I never really developed much of a liking to Japanese manga and animation even if it was all the rage in my high school years. I do however used to read web comics although I grew lazy in following them.

As for the comics I do read, I'm mostly a Marvel guy, particularly because their continuing series are easier to follow due to them being unhampered by something like the major continuity alteration of DC's numerous Crises. I follow Captain America, The Punisher, The Avengers, Black Widow, and X-Men most religiously.

Any DC comics I read would usually be miniseries or alternate continuity books, especially out of the Vertigo or Wildstorm imprints like Transmetropolitan, The Losers, Planetary. I am however, following Brightest Day. And of course, the mighty Watchmen.

I do read a few indie/alternative works, like Irredeemable if I wanna get superhero-ey. But mostly I don't when it comes to indie works, so I end up reading Crossed and Locke & Key.

Other than those, there's webcomics I used to follow like The Last Days of FOXHOUND (based on the Metal Gear Solid universe) and the Grim Tales doujin for Billy and Mandy. As for news strips, when I was a kid, my brother fed me a steady diet of Calvin and Hobbes, which I try to resume from time to time now.

And other than comics, I mostly play video games, though that's slowed down a bit since I shifted to CW. I play FPS mostly (Doom 3 and HL2) and Sandbox games (GTA 3 and Vice City), but I'm slowly picking up on stealth games (Manhunt, Splinter Cell).

Hello, and welcome to the forums! I'm Hannah Santos (aka. Hannah 1, the Hannah with the curly hair).

Gosh, I want to read that Grim Tales webcomic again... It's the one by bleedman, right?

Ah, yes, Calvin and Hobbes... Truly a classic. Oh that reminds me, there is this picture somewhere here (probably the random image thread) where Calvin and Hobbes and Hero Bear and the Kid are about to duke it out.

lol random crap... Anyway, welcome, welcome, welcome!

There have only been two that actually changed continuity and Marvel is just as guilty with series/character derailment with their back-to-back massive crossovers!

This origin story sounds weirdly familiar.

Joseph has done a pretty good job of affirming your comics experience (esp. Last Days of Foxhound, my god; I read that even before I played the MGS game just, um, last year. Yeah.), but he missed--

Oh, and hi. You can call me Job.
