HI!!!

Just so you know, yeah. Read webcomics like a douche. Comics online are my life on the net. Maybe. Neutral

Anyway, I'll be going through my bookmarks and reviewing webcomics for [s]teh lolz[/s] the sake of the improvement the internet comic blogging community.

Since I'm too lazy to do an actual review now, I'll just get to technical stuff first off: showing the point system.

A webcomic can have up to 100 points

40 points for my subjective and objective view at the art
-Around 20 points will be given for critical use of media and creativeness of the artist. The other 10 will prob. be for lolz. Again, this is subjective.
40 points for the construction of the plot and storyline
-This includes whether or not the reader can understand what is going on, and relevance in modern culture and society. As earlier, 10 points will be reserved mostly for my "does-likey" input.
20 points for popularity, how well I/others/you(?) like it, and if the creator sticks with the main idea. Well, this kinda goes with the above.

BLAH BLAH BLAH, basically

40% Drawing
40% Writing
20% Popularity

Hmmm... I'll give moar thought into my grading system.

1. Pixipets

Hehe, it's great the site has it's own summary:

Pixipets wrote:
Cute Comics with Bite!

This rag-tag group of characters are equal parts quirky, rude, loveable, narcissistic, cute and all around just plain weird! From cute, snack-loving pandas to world-conquering robots with laser shooting baby bunnies and absolutely everything in between, there's sure to be one Pixipet just for you.

As said, pixipets is CUTE+VIOLENCE+SARCASM.

Personally, I like cute things. If you add violence, I love it. That's how I believe cute things should be. Eventually gory, with every character smiling. Well, Pixipets isn't so violent, but it does make a mock of things.

For those of you who love to see cute things saying or doing obscure things (at least obscure enough to get the Catholic church to your poetry on it), this webcomic is for you. ^_^

Graphics: 31
Writing: 29
Popularity: 17

Total: 77 (B-)

Just so you know, I take webcomics seriously. So before I rate them and that, I like read anything dropped off in the archives.

Err... I'll probably post about something during Christmas. Haha.

HAHA!!! So you've been wondering where the hell Mandrew has been (No?) Anyway, I've decided that it's been too long, so I'm going to make another review. And it's recommended that if you totally hate Mandrew's love for randomness and really crazy things (or if you can't stand it, which I know many of you do Very Happy) I suggest you skip to the next post, which will come VERY shortly (I promise!) after this one, and makes a hell lot more sense.

But first, a picture:

Okay. That was cool. Now let me introduce you to

Girly

Now here's a link to the basic summary of this webcomic: here!

If you actually clicked that, you probably want to punch me now, so I'll make the summary myself.

So what do I have to say about Girly? First thing that comes to mind: Random. Yes. Almost everything seems random. And if not random, sexually oriented (giant dildos anyone?) Oh, and launching everyone into space.

Regardless about all said above, there is a story to this. Yes there is. It starts off with a girl (Orta) who has gotten tired with life, when this really really wacky girl (Winter) comes around and makes Orta her sidekick. From there, the story turns into their every day adventures, along with their cat (Marshmallow Kitty), in the city of Cute-Town.

As you can read, it's totally crazy, and will make you wonder "WHAT THE HELL DOES MANDREW READ!?" I find the art good. Maybe really good. Okay, maybe not. And I do believe it has a bunch of wacky fans like myself, since the guy has been posting this since 2003.

So, as for my rating,
Graphics = 27%
Writing= 27%
Popularity = 19%

Total= 73% (B-)

If you still want to read this (LOL):

Okay guys, I just want to get ahead a bit. I'll be reviewing these three comics these week, but I'm posting the links in case you want to read ahead:

Anders Loves Maria
Little Gamers
8-Bit Theater

Apparently, Swedish Webcomics are pretty awesome.

Also, I am just careless whisper amazed to see Legends of the Hidden Temple translated in Filipino. Channel 5. What the hell.

P.S.- Job, if you don't show them Sleuth, I will.

Oh Lordy, 8-bit Theater.

I'm not really in need of more Webcomics. I read a good number as it is. But when I get pretty bored, then maybe.

Before I start, I will rethink and re-rate all of my previous entries, and grade them better. I am honestly not happy with my rating system, and neither should you. Even this one will need a revised rating by the end of the week.

Prepare for drama...

Quote:
iAnders Loves Maria is not a story for the casual reader. It has a simple beginning-middle-end structure but it does jump between the past and present quite frequently so a little effort on the readers part is needed to understand what is going on.

Even though the story is essentially about the relationship of Anders and Maria, most of it takes place outside of the context of this relationship.

It is a story about “adulthood” in a modern age where coming-of-age seems to be completely arbitrary.

...

Let's go for the plot then.

The whole thing starts out with Anders wanting to have a baby with Maria. One thing leads to another, and their whole lives turn upside down. Their love lives become absolutely complicated, as other issues enter into the story. Regardless of it all, the question I believe the whole series leads to is, "Are these two gonna get married?"

That's a laughing matter. Okay, so yes, it is one big drama. Complete with screaming, fights, and having sex with everyone you can. Speaking of which, some of the pages aren't work safe, though it is not the porn (you call that porn?) that you are after. No, it's the drama. And they need the sex just to emphasize the drama.

(insert moar here)

Rating!

Graphics= 28%
Writing= 31%
Popularity= 18%

Total = 77% (B)

Yes, I am totally unhappy with my rating system.
