Nov. 24 - Weiga Kultura

1) Nov 25&26 - strike is regarding budget cut, goal is to at least maintain the current budget
Nov 25 by 12 noon - UP wide strike
8:30am-noon - no classes at CAL, pre-strike stuff at that time
THURSDAY MORNING @ CAL
8-8:30 Opening statement, 8:30-9 performances. 9-10 yom&isine, 10-10:30 performances, 10:30-11 statements, 11... march to oblation (to join the rest of the campus)
They wanted people from CAL orgs to perform in those slots thursday morning to keep the event going.
Host: SPECA Performers:____?
TOMORROW
Weiga Kultura - an 11:30-1pm pre-strike activity in the CAL atrium (I think)
Approach Vocal or SC tomorrow to sign up.
3) CAL week - orgs are divided into 3 groups
deadline of confirmation is Thursday (even by text is okay)
"Pala'rong KAL" - philippine games
Requirement is 5-7people per org to attend
4) Karolfest
per college 8-16 people per choir, but conductor can come from elsewhere. Prize not yet disclosed.
PASKO NA NAMAN - any christmas song, any language, then a filipino christmas song
sa (yahoo)groups - the list for the choir
so by Thursday NOV 25 - CHOIR (signups)
Karolfest is on DEC 13 (monday) 4-7pm
5) Lantern Parade
They need 1-2 reps per org. Lantern judging is DEC 6. Theme Pasko 2010 (I didn't get what they said) - recycled materials. Confirmation of volunteers is Nov 27, too.
The core group working on this right now is AME ASS ASTE, but they'll need manpower all of next week to produce/build it. It'll be in CAL basement, so you can't miss it.
If you can't help in Karolfest or Lantern Parade, they have one more option, some sort of Committee (on culture and the arts?). Someone mentioned free food. 
6) Calendaring
this fri: Italian Quiz Show 4pm
Aste: Dec 1 & 8 free movie (Keka dec 1)
Speca's event will be in Feb, but the DECL will have a lecture series 1st week of Dec.
UPFAIR 2011 - 3 nights, they'll need volunteers
